The High Qualification Collegium of Judges sent materials to the Prosecutor General's Office for anti-corruption checks of four judges from Krasnodar Krai, including the daughter of the former chairman of the Krasnodar Krai Court, Alexander Chernov, and the sister of the former deputy chairperson of the same court, Elena Khakhaleva.

The High Qualification Collegium of Judges sent materials to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation for anti-corruption checks of four judges from Krasnodar Krai.

On the instructions of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, materials were transferred from judges of the Arbitration Court of Krasnodar Krai - the daughter of the former chairman of the Krasnodar Krai Anastasia Shepel, the judge of the court of Alexander Chernov, and Natalya Khakhaleva, the sister of Elena Khakhaleva, the former deputy chair of the same court. It is alleged that they and their family members were found to have assets that do not correspond to their declared income, Kommersant reported on April 6.

Materials were also transferred against judges Olga Borisova and Olga Bogatykh of the Fourth Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction.

Natalya Khakhaleva, for money, made decisions in favor of companies evading taxes. Due to her actions, the budget lost over a billion rubles, TASS reports, citing a source in law enforcement.

Using the proceeds, Khakhaleva purchased two houses with a total area of 510 square meters and three plots of land totaling 2,700 square meters. The properties are located in elite cottage communities in the Krasnodar Territory and the Moscow Region. A Porsche Cayenna Turbo was also found in the judge's possession.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last August, a court, following a lawsuit filed by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, confiscated assets worth 13 billion rubles from the former chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court, Alexander Chernov. On January 30, the cassation court upheld the seizure of the property.

Former judge of the Krasnodar Regional Court, Elena Khakhaleva, has been placed on the international wanted list in connection with charges of fraud and official forgery. Investigators believe that in 2019, Khakhaleva went on business trips that she did not properly document, and her absences were considered truancy. In total, she missed 127 workdays, while continuing to receive her salary, and earned 1.2 million rubles during her absence. In December 2021, the High Qualification Collegium of Judges of Russia authorized the initiation of a case against Khakhaleva, and a week earlier, Khakhaleva left Russia. In May 2022, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered the initiation of a case against Khakhaleva under articles of official forgery and fraud, and the court arrested her in absentia.
