The number of casualties in the drone attack in Novorossiysk has increased.
The number of Novorossiysk residents injured in the drone attack has risen to ten. A state of emergency has been declared in the city, with more than 90 private and apartment buildings damaged.As reported by "Caucasian Knot," Novorossiysk was attacked by drones on the morning of April 5. That night, authorities reported that eight people, including two children, were injured in the drone strike. It was also reported that six apartment buildings and two private homes were damaged.
Two more people injured during the drone attack on Novorossiysk were taken to hospitals this morning, bringing the total number of victims to ten, according to city mayor Andrei Kravchenko.
"All of them are under the close attention of specialists and are receiving the necessary medical care," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.
Two injured children were transported from Novorossiysk to Krasnodar, where they will continue treatment, the Kuban task force reported on Monday. The statement from the task force did not specify how doctors were assessing the patients' condition.
According to Kravchenko, a state of emergency has been in effect in Novorossiysk since last night, and officials have inspected some of the damaged residential buildings this morning. In total, about a hundred residential buildings were damaged – 73 private homes and 19 apartment buildings.
Most of the damaged private homes (72) are located in the Eastern District of the city, along with five damaged apartment buildings. "In one of the buildings, a drone damaged a gas pipe, causing a leak. Emergency services shut off the gas supply to the damaged section," the mayor noted.
In the Southern District, one private home and seven apartment buildings were damaged. The upper floors of the buildings, roofs, and balconies were damaged, and four apartments with their furnishings were completely destroyed. In addition, the windowpanes of seven apartments in seven apartment buildings in the Central District were damaged.
The "Caucasian Knot" also reported that on September 24, 2025, two people were killed and 14 more were injured following an attack by drones and unmanned boats on Novorossiysk and Tuapse. That day, people in Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Gelendzhik, and Sochi were ordered to leave the beaches, but in Sochi, some vacationers returned to the sea. Social media users called this behavior reckless.
