Five people were killed in an airstrike in Taganrog.

One person was killed and four others were seriously injured in an airstrike in Taganrog. A commercial vessel was damaged by a drone strike in the Sea of Azov.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of March 30, a drone attack in Taganrog killed one person and left eight others requiring medical attention. The attack damaged 12 apartment buildings, 27 private homes, and 10 cars. A state of emergency has been declared in the city. One person was killed and four were injured in an airstrike in Taganrog last night, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel at 6:48 a.m. Moscow time. The injured were three Taganrog residents and one foreign citizen. "The injured sustained serious injuries; according to medical experts, three are in critical condition," he wrote, promising assistance to the family of the deceased and the injured. Commercial infrastructure was also damaged "during the missile strike on Taganrog," the regional governor noted. "A fire broke out in the warehouse premises of a logistics company. People have been evacuated. The fire has now been contained," the publication states.

The fire on the dry cargo ship was caused by a drone attack.

Additionally, drones were shot down in the waters of the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov, in the Chertkovsky and Sholokhovsky districts of the region, the official reported.

"In the waters of the bay, a commercial vessel was damaged by UAV debris, causing a fire. By this time, the fire has been contained. The dry cargo ship, flying a foreign flag, was located several kilometers from the shoreline," the statement noted.

As a reminder, on January 13, a woman died in an attack in Taganrog. Eight residential buildings, two industrial facilities, and six cars were also damaged. Authorities promised assistance to all victims.

Car damage has repeatedly appeared in reports on the consequences of drone attacks in the Rostov Region, but compensation for it was not provided until December 2025. Only after a Taganrog resident who lost his car asked about payments during a direct line with the governor did authorities establish a compensation procedure for car owners. The resolution provides for payments of up to 500,000 rubles per damaged vehicle and up to a million rubles for a destroyed one.

Residents of a building in central Taganrog damaged by a rocket fall in the summer of 2023 received 10,000 rubles each and replaced their broken windows, even though the apartments required significant repairs. Victims have the right to seek compensation through the courts, lawyers interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" indicated.

In the Rostov Region, there is a ban on filming air strikes and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military units. The "Caucasian Knot" published a corresponding governor's decree.
