A post-emergency payment became the basis for a criminal case in Dagestan.

Searchs were conducted in the Kurakhsky District administration and the homes of the deputy head of the district and members of the commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations in connection with the illegal payment of financial assistance.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," a criminal case was opened against the deputy head of the Kurakhsky District of Dagestan; he is suspected of abuse of office.

As part of the investigation of the criminal case opened for abuse of office, searches were conducted in the Kurakhsky District administration, as well as at the residences of members of the commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and fire safety in the district, the department reported.

According to the investigation, the deputy head of the administration illegally signed an order allocating funds from the reserve fund to provide financial assistance to a citizen who was not a victim of the natural disaster. During the searches, documents related to the activities of the said commission and the expenditure of reserve fund funds were seized.
