Residents' homes in Rostov Oblast damaged by drone attack

In the Rostov Region, 15 private homes were damaged as a result of a drone attack. The governor announced assistance for the victims.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of March 31, a drone was destroyed in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, according to Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar. According to him, there were no injuries.

Late in the evening of March 31 and last night, more than 30 drones were destroyed in four cities (Novoshakhtinsk, Taganrog, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, and Bataysk) and six districts of the Rostov region – Neklinovsky, Oktyabrsky, Aksaysky, Krasnosulinsky, Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky, and Azovsky, Yuri Slyusar reported today on his Telegram channel.

There are no injuries, but "as a result of the UAV debris falling," there is damage on the ground, he noted. "The most severe consequences of the UAV debris fall were in Novoshakhtinsk – in the villages of Sokolovo-Kundryuchensky and Zapadny – where private homes were partially damaged (mostly windows were broken) and a car," the publication stated.

Victims will be provided with assistance in eliminating the consequences.

In addition, the glass of a private home in the Neklinovsky District was damaged. "A total of 15 private homes and one car were damaged. Information will be updated. All victims will be provided with assistance in eliminating the consequences," the official wrote.

Vehicle damage has repeatedly appeared in reports on the consequences of UAV attacks in the Rostov Region, but compensation for it was not provided until December 2025. Only after a Taganrog resident who lost his car asked about payments during a direct line with the governor did the authorities establish a compensation procedure for car owners. The resolution provides for payments of up to 500,000 rubles for a damaged vehicle and up to a million for a destroyed one.

As a reminder, on March 30, a drone attack in Taganrog killed one person, and eight others required medical attention. Twelve apartment buildings and 27 private homes, as well as 10 cars, were damaged in the city.

Residents of several buildings, including the apartment building near which the drone wreckage was found, were evacuated. Residents returned to their homes that same day. A state of emergency has been declared in the city.

The Rostov Region has banned filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military units. The corresponding governor's decree has been published on the "Caucasian Knot."
