Both police officers who were wounded during the shootout in the village of Nizhniy Dzhengutai are in stable condition.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the evening of March 30, in the village of Nizhniy Dzhengutai in the Buinaksk District of Dagestan, an attempt to stop a conflict resulted in injuries to two Ministry of Internal Affairs officers. The shooter has been detained. Later, the republic's Ministry of Health reported that three people were wounded in the shootout.

The police officers wounded in the shootout in the village of Nizhny Dzhengutai are in stable condition, the Dagestan Ministry of Health reported on its Telegram channel on the evening of March 31.

According to the ministry, the wounded are recovering, and their treatment is being monitored by the republic's Minister of Health, Yaroslav Glazov.

A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident, and it is being investigated under Article 317 of the Russian Criminal Code (attempt on the life of law enforcement officers). The defendant has been charged, Interfax reports.
