Heavy-duty vehicles leaving Russia on the Georgian Military Highway are temporarily prohibited.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the morning of March 23, heavy-duty vehicles leaving North Ossetia on the Georgian Military Highway were prohibited from leaving due to deteriorating weather conditions in Georgia. The road was reopened the following day.

Due to the inability to ensure safe passage for vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles were prohibited from leaving Russia on the section of the road from Vladikavkaz to the town of Lars from 9:15 p.m. Moscow time on March 28. The Georgian border police also issued corresponding recommendations, according to a statement published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic of North Ossetia.

The Caucasian Knot compiled advice for those traveling along the Georgian Military Highway in the document "To Georgia by Car: How to Avoid Getting Stuck at the Verkhniy Lars Checkpoint".
