A Tajik citizen residing in Abkhazia is suspected of publishing extremist materials on social media. He was detained and deported to Russia.
Abkhazia's State Security Service detained Tajik citizen Karimkhon Saidov, who is suspected of extremism.
According to investigators, Saidov posted comments on social media in support of radical groups in Syria, distributed materials justifying extremism, and incited religious hatred, Apsnypress reported on March 21.
It was also discovered that Saidov was in Abkhazia in violation of immigration regulations. He was deported to the Russian Federation.
Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that on March 15, State Security Service officers detained Turkish citizen Ulaş Enes in Abkhazia. He is on the Interpol wanted list and was deported to Russia.
