Last night, the Volgograd Region was attacked by a drone, the Ministry of Defense reported.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last night and this morning, about 90 drones were shot down in nine districts of the Rostov Region, the governor reported. According to him, there are no injuries.
Last night, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 283 Ukrainian drones, including in the Rostov and Volgograd regions, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.
The ministry did not specify how many drones were shot down in each region.
The Volgograd Region administration, as of 12:15 Moscow time, had not reported the overnight attack on its Telegram channel.
Alerts about the threat of drone attacks in the Volgograd Region have become daily, but the actual appearance of UAVs is not always preceded by a warning, local officials interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" earlier stated Residents.
As a reminder, on March 15, windows in apartments in a multi-story residential building in Volgograd were shattered as a result of a drone strike. There were no injuries, authorities reported.
On February 13, a woman and a teenager were injured in a drone attack in Volgograd. According to authorities, several private and apartment buildings were damaged. Windows in the damaged apartments have not been restored even a week after the attack, and victims complained that it is difficult to reach dispatchers.
Filming drone attacks and their aftermath is prohibited in the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, including the Volgograd Region. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
