The court seized the property of a Krasnodar City Duma deputy.

The property of Krasnodar City Duma deputy Viktor Timofeev and his associates, valued at over 10 billion rubles, has been seized by the state.

As reported by Kavkazsky Knot, in mid-February, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit to seize the property of Krasnodar City Duma deputy Viktor Timofeev for state benefit. Three other individuals, including Timofeev's two daughters, were also named as defendants in the case.

The Krasnodar Prosecutor's Office secured the early termination of the powers of City Duma deputy Viktor Timofeev due to violation of anti-corruption laws. Timofeev, as the beneficiary of a contracting organization, concealed from the authorized commission of the city council information about his personal interest in the allocation of funds to finance a municipal contract, the press service of the Krasnodar Krai Prosecutor's Office reported on its Telegram channel on February 26.

The Leninsky District Court considered the claim filed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation against Viktor Timofeev and individuals associated with him. In the claim, the prosecutor's office requested that the defendants' property be forfeited to the state. The market value of the movable and immovable property and business entities exceeds 10 billion rubles, the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Krai reported on its Telegram channel on March 18.

It is reported that Timofeev used administrative resources, official powers, and political influence to lobby for the interests of organizations under his control when concluding contracts. For example, contracts for organizing transportation for groups of children were awarded to Kubangruzservis, a company controlled by Timofeev, while Krasnodar municipal institutions had been donating buses to the public for over 15 years. Furthermore, in November 2025, a contract for organized transportation for groups of children was awarded to SpetsTransAvto, a company also owned by Timofeev, for 515.9 million rubles.

Thus, since 2011, Timofeev's organizations have received municipal contracts worth over 5 billion rubles. Moreover, the transportation of children was organized in violation of safety requirements, the report stated.

He used the proceeds of corruption to create legal entities and purchase other assets, which he then distributed among his relatives and subordinates.

The court ordered the confiscation of Timofeev's property in favor of the state, which includes 100% of the shares in the authorized capital of three organizations, 16 real estate properties, 25 land plots, and seven vehicles. The market value of the confiscated property amounted to more than 10 billion rubles, the press service of the regional courts clarified.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that Krasnodar Krai Health Minister Yevgeny Filippov was detained in a fraud case, and searches were conducted in the official's home and office.
