A Makhachkala resident was fined for insulting Armenians.
A Makhachkala court has fined local resident Tofik Ismailov, who posted anti-Armenian comments on Telegram under the handle "Donald Trump."
An administrative case under the article on incitement of hatred and enmity (Part 1 of Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) against Tofik Ismailov was opened on February 24. It was first received by the Leninsky District Court of Makhachkala on March 2, but was returned for correction. On March 4, the court received the materials again and reviewed them.
Thirty-three-year-old Tofik Ismailov posted comments on Telegram containing offensive statements about Armenians. The ruling on his case in the court's files was noticed on March 9 by "Caution, News."
Ismailov used the handle "Donald Trump" on the messenger. The comments in question contained incitement to violence and harm against Armenians. Police discovered them and sent them for forensic examination no later than August 2025, according to the ruling.
In court, Tofik Ismailov admitted guilt, confirming that he personally published the comments. The court found him guilty and fined him 10,000 rubles.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that under the same article, a court in Karachay-Cherkessia sentenced local resident Mukharabi Shebzukhov to 15 days of administrative arrest for comments about Putin in several VKontakte communities.
