Drones were shot down in three districts of the Rostov region.
Military forces shot down drones in the Chertkovsky, Sholokhovsky, and Millerovsky districts of the Rostov Region. According to the governor, there are no injuries.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on March 5, drone attacks were recorded in four districts of the Rostov Region: Chertkovsky, Sholokhovsky, Belokalitvinsky, and Tarasovsky. According to the military, nine UAVs were shot down in the region.
Last evening and night, UAVs were destroyed in three districts – Chertkovsky, Sholokhovsky, and Millerovsky, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel. "There have been no reports of casualties or damage on the ground," he added.
As of 7:21 a.m. Moscow time, the Russian Ministry of Defense had not reported any evening or nighttime drone attacks in the Rostov Region on its Telegram channel.
As a reminder, on January 14, an aerial attack in Rostov-on-Don caused fires in homes and an industrial facility. One person was killed and four, including a four-year-old child, were hospitalized. That day, the military reported shooting down 25 drones in the region.
On January 13, a woman was killed in an attack in Taganrog . Eight residential buildings, two industrial facilities, and six vehicles were also damaged. Authorities promised assistance to all victims.
Car damage has repeatedly appeared in reports on the consequences of drone attacks in the Rostov Region, but compensation for it was not provided until December 2025. Only after a Taganrog resident who lost his car asked about payments during a direct line with the governor did authorities establish a compensation procedure for car owners. The resolution provides for a payment of up to 500,000 rubles per damaged vehicle and up to a million rubles per destroyed vehicle.
In the Rostov Region, there is a ban on filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military units. The "Caucasian Knot" published a corresponding governor's decree.
In August 2025, two people in the Rostov region were fined for filming the aftermath of drone attacks.
