A Novorossiysk resident was arrested for publicly calling for the arson of hospitals.

A 50-year-old Novorossiysk resident has been charged with calling for the arson of hospitals on social media.

According to investigators, in March 2024, while in Novorossiysk, the accused posted a comment in a public social media group aimed at inciting hatred and hostility toward healthcare workers. During questioning, the accused admitted his guilt.

According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, the Novorossiysk resident called for the arson of hospital buildings on social media. A computer system and mobile phones were seized from the man's home. Law enforcement agencies have not specified the reason for the citizen's promotion of violence against medical workers.

Investigators from the Novorossiysk Investigative Department have charged a 50-year-old local resident with publicly inciting hatred and enmity with the threat of violence.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in early February, stand-up comedian Artemy Ostanin was sentenced to 5 years and 9 months for monologues about a legless man and an imaginary dialogue with Jesus Christ. The comedian pleaded not guilty.
