A Dagestani parliament member has been stripped of his mandate following a lawsuit filed by the prosecutor's office.
65 parliamentarians voted to strip Deputy Kirill Glazov of his mandate. The Dagestan Prosecutor's Office cited both violations of anti-corruption legislation and Glazov's actual absence from parliament.
Deputy Kirill Glazov was stripped of his mandate in the People's Assembly of Dagestan. The decision was made at the 52nd session of the regional parliament. He previously served on the Committee on Healthcare, Labor, and Social Policy, the Dagestan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company reported today.
65 deputies voted in favor, two abstained, and no votes were against, Novoye Delo reports.
On December 24, 2002, the People's Assembly of Dagestan reported that Kirill Glazov had been invited to law enforcement agencies to answer questions concerning the investigation.
According to Ask Rasul, the Dagestan Prosecutor's Office has filed a motion for the early termination of the powers of Dagestan National Assembly deputy Kirill Glazov.
According to "Ask Rasul," the Dagestan Prosecutor's Office, which demanded consideration of the deputy's mandate, cited a number of legal violations.
For example, in 2022, Glazov purchased a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (2015) for 4 million rubles. However, his family's combined income for the previous three years, taking into account expenses and credit obligations, does not confirm the availability of legal funds for such a purchase.
The 2024 declaration indicates the purchase of a BMW X7 (2021) for 6 million rubles. An audit revealed that the actual cost of the car was 9.8 million rubles. The Prosecutor's Office considers this to be false information and intentional understatement of expenses.
Evidence of a conflict of interest has also been established. At a session of the People's Assembly, Kirill Glazov voted in favor of M.M. Mugadzhirov's appointment as auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Dagestan. However, Mugadzhirov's relatives previously co-founded and managed the commercial organizations MSB Holding LLC and Kaspetroservice LLC at various times. Glazov served as Deputy General Director of Kaspetroservice LLC from 2021 to 2025.
It was also revealed that the deputy failed to notify his employer and prosecutors of attempts by the former Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Dagestan to coerce him into committing a corruption offense.
It is also noted that Glazov's performance of his duties was purely formal: despite a monthly salary of approximately 100,000 rubles, he was primarily located outside the Republic of Dagestan.
