The case of former Rostov Region Finance Minister Lilia Fedotova will be heard by the Kirovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot," investigators opened a case last February for abuse of power against Rostov Region Deputy Governor and Finance Minister Lilia Fedotova. In early April, she was transferred to Moscow, and on January 14, she was remanded in custody.
The case of former Rostov Region Finance Minister Lilia Fedotova has been submitted to the court, Kommersant reported on February 24, citing the unified press service of the region's courts.
Fedotova's case, accused of abuse of office in implementing the region's financial and credit policy (clause "b" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code), will be heard by the Kirovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don, RBC reports.
Fedotova is accused of unjustifiably obtaining 12 billion rubles in loans from a commercial bank at an interest rate exceeding 6% per annum. Thus, it caused 1.9 billion rubles in damage to the regional budget, which went toward interest payments in 2020-2023.
