17 drones were shot down in three regions of the Southern Federal District.

Military forces destroyed drones overnight in the Krasnodar Territory, Adygea, and the Rostov Region. Drones were also shot down over the Black and Azov Seas.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," drones were destroyed last night in the Kamensky and Neklinovsky districts of the Rostov Region. According to the governor, there were no injuries or damage.

Last night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 79 Ukrainian drones, the Ministry of Defense reported on its website.

According to the publication, 15 drones were shot down in the Krasnodar Krai, one in the Rostov Region, and one in Adygea.

Another 15 drones were shot down over the Black Sea, and nine over the Sea of Azov. The remaining drones were shot down in the Belgorod, Saratov, and Kursk regions, and in Crimea.

The Kuban operational headquarters and the head of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov, as of 8:50 a.m. Moscow time, had not reported on the consequences of the attacks on their Telegram channels.

As a reminder, on February 20, a man was injured in a drone attack in Krasnodar and received first aid at the scene. According to authorities, the drone debris fell near a garage cooperative "in an industrial zone," but private and apartment buildings are located nearby.

On January 21, in the village of Novaya Adygeya, Takhtamukaysky District, a drone attack damaged 30 houses. At least one person was killed and 11 people, including two children, were injured. On January 27, authorities announced that, in addition to compensation payments to residents, they would provide free repairs to damaged apartments. By January 28, authorities had received approximately 1,000 requests for financial assistance from affected residents.

It should be noted that in September 2025, the Krasnodar Krai imposed a ban on the dissemination of information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as on filming air defense operations, military facilities, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, authorities in Kuban introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense operations. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a corresponding regional legislative assembly bill.

The Rostov Region also has a ban on filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military unit locations. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a corresponding governor's decree.

In August 2025, two people in the Rostov Region were fined for filming the aftermath of drone attacks.

Filming drone attacks and their aftermath is also prohibited in other regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
