Anapa residents called for the publication of water test results.

Water samples taken at Anapa beaches by a blogger showed compliance with standards. He called on Rospotrebnadzor to show the sample results to substantiate his claim that the beaches were unready for the season, and commenters supported him.

As reported by "Kavkazsky Uzel," an assessment of the official beaches of Anapa and the Temryuk district for their suitability for the resort season will be conducted in late spring or early summer. Authorities denied reports of discharges at official beaches, citing petroleum products present, for example, in protected areas and, in particular, on the Bugayskaya Spit.

The beaches of Anapa and the Temryuk district are still unsuitable for recreation following the fuel oil spill, Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor, stated on February 4. She didn't rule out the possibility that the situation could change by the start of the summer season. The head of Rospotrebnadzor's statement regarding Anapa's beaches has put an end to the 2026 season, some bloggers believe. First, they need to ensure there are no emissions from sunken tankers; others believe hotelier profits are less important than public health. Against this backdrop, the Krasnodar Krai task force reported that from January 29 to February 13, there were no new fuel oil emissions on the coast of Anapa and the Temryuk district, but the wind exposed layers of old fuel oil.

Blogger Max Anapsky published today in his Telegram channel the results of water samples taken on the coast of Anapa on February 6.

"Sukko - 0.01 mg/dm3, which is exactly 30 times lower than the MAC. High Bank - 0.0088 mg/dm3, which is 34 times lower than the MAC. Central Beach - 0.012 mg/dm3, which is 25 times lower than the MAC. Dzhemete - 0.011 mg/dm3, which is 27 times lower than the MAC. "Vityazevo - 0.014 mg/dm3, which is 21 times lower than the MAC. Blagoveshchenskaya - 0.0078 mg/dm3, which is 38 times lower than the MAC," he wrote, noting that, according to official data, the maximum permissible concentration of petroleum products in seawater is 0.3 mg/dm3.

According to him, previously taken samples also showed that the seawater complies with the standards.

In accordance with Article 4.3 of Federal Law No. 7-FZ "On Environmental Protection," information on the state of the environment (environmental information) is publicly available information, access to which cannot be restricted. Concealing information about the state of the Black Sea leads to the destruction of Anapa's reputation as a resort for decades. Russian citizens think that the sea in Anapa is full of fuel oil, although samples show that the presence of petroleum products is tens of times lower than the MAC. "I ask Rospotrebnadzor to publish the results of the sea samples," he noted.

"Swimming is allowed, but sunbathing is not. The beaches aren't open. What's with the sand?" asked user KS.

"The day before yesterday, I ran barefoot on the sand (Kavkaz Beach, Pionersky Prospekt). I barely managed to wash my feet afterwards; I only ran for five minutes," replied Natalia Klimenko.

"I was in Anapa with my husband during the New Year holidays. After a walk on the sandy beach, we were exhausted trying to get the fuel oil off our shoes. There was also a persistent, characteristic odor. On the stone beaches, it was purely visual, and there was no odor. "But the sandy ones were a real disaster," wrote Arina Litvinova.

Some users expressed the opinion that the beaches are not opening in the interests of developing beach tourism in other regions.

"They're completely shutting down their beloved Anapa and want to develop Crimea," expressed the opinion of Zhanna.

"Rospotrebnadzor will only do what they're told from above. Even if the water is miraculous three times over. Until there's an order from above, nothing will change. This is part of politics. This is not about the environment. "They need to pump Crimea up with tourists, and here the fuel oil is so handy," - Stas.

"A completely unfounded, still ongoing emergency, signed by the now inactive Shvets," writes "Anapa in Focus, Denis's Blog."

"And when will we see the results of our sand? They said the water was fine now. "But God knows what they say about the sand," Galina Nikitina asked.

The blogger replied that he asked for sand samples to be taken by February 25th, when he would be trying to get an appointment with the new mayor of Anapa.

"Hundreds of people should gather on the beach and record a 10-second video titled 'There Will Be a Season in Anapa'; that would enhance the effect," Sergey suggested.

As a reminder, April 18, 2025 Rospotrebnadzor has declared 141 beaches in Anapa and nine beaches in the Temryuk district unsuitable for recreation.
