The head of the Russian Ministry of Sport awarded Akhmat Kadyrov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Sport of Chechnya, a medal awarded for exceptional personal merit and achievements in physical education.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on January 15, the Chechen parliament approved the appointment of Ramzan Kadyrov's eldest son, Akhmat Kadyrov, as Deputy Prime Minister of the republic. On February 10, Akhmat Kadyrov, who does not have a completed higher education, boasted that he had been appointed to oversee education in Chechnya. Social media users greeted the news with ridicule. The supervision of various structures has also been entrusted to Ramzan Kadyrov's other children, despite the absence of such positions in the Russian system of government.

Akhmat Kadyrov has been awarded the Nikolai Ozerov Medal for special personal merits and achievements in physical culture and sports, the official Telegram channel of the Chechen Ministry of Sports reported today.
The order awarding this medal to Ramzan Kadyrov's eldest son was signed by Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev. "This prestigious award was presented for special personal merits and achievements in physical culture and sports, as well as for significant contributions to the development, popularization, and promotion of sports," the publication states.
The statement did not specify the specific personal merits and achievements of Akhmat Kadyrov Jr. The ministry merely stated that "under his leadership," sports in Chechnya are "developing confidently."
It was announced on May 21, 2024, that Ramzan Kadyrov's eldest son, Akhmat Kadyrov, had been appointed Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Chechnya. In December 2025, it was reported that he had donated over 18 million rubles to the families of fire victims. Social media users inquired when he managed to earn such sums.
From February 2022 to early August 2025, Ramzan Kadyrov and 29 of his close relatives received at least 146 various awards and distinctions. The head of Chechnya personally received at least 31 awards during this period, with his son Adam in second place in terms of the number of awards.
