A new video featuring Adam Kadyrov hasn't cleared up any questions about his absence.

Three days after Ramzan Kadyrov published a video featuring his son, no new footage of Adam Kadyrov has appeared, and the quality and length of the footage have only raised new questions on social media. Sources have reported that the injuries have had a negative impact on Adam Kadyrov's health.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, Ramzan Kadyrov mentioned for the first time a traffic accident involving his third son, Adam, calling all media reports about the incident "fakes." On February 10, he published a short video of a "late dinner," showing his third son, Adam, for the first time in more than three weeks. Social media users found the video strange. Speculation about the health of the Chechen leader's third son arose amid prolonged silence from the authorities, although residents of the republic spoke of indifference to the health of the head of the region's son.

On January 16, sources reported that the motorcade of Ramzan Kadyrov's third son was involved in a traffic accident in Grozny, injuring Adam Kadyrov and his entourage. For three weeks after the accident was reported, Adam Kadyrov remained relatively active on social media, but did not publish any new images of himself. "Caucasian Knot" has prepared a report "What is known about the classified incident with Adam Kadyrov in Grozny".

Video of Adam Kadyrov raises doubts about its authenticity

Discussion continues online about the changes in Adam Kadyrov's appearance after more than a three-week hiatus from public appearances and social media.

"After almost a month of absence, it seemed logical to give a short interview refuting rumors about a car accident, his serious condition, etc. But then there's this short video in which our hero appears on camera for a few seconds at a time, uttering a couple of phrases. So it's not surprising that many of those who watched this video were left with the impression that Kadyrov's son is "fake," writes "Caucasian Knot" reader Igor S.

The character in this video only vaguely resembles Kadyrov's son.

A reader with the nickname sherley.tremblay pointed out changes in his appearance that are raising doubts online.

"Adam Kadyrov never looked like he appears in this video before. Before his disappearance, he was overweight for his age, and his nose was a different shape. Many also noticed the crooked grin that never left his face and the buttoned collar of his military jacket. In previous photos and videos, he didn't grin like that, and the top buttons of his shirts and camouflage uniform were always unbuttoned. However, some believe Kadyrov Jr. lost a significant amount of weight after being hospitalized, and the shape of his nose may have been altered by plastic surgery after a fracture sustained in a car accident," he writes. But the character in this video only vaguely resembles Kadyrov's son," expressed the opinion  stephine_krajcik.

After the video shown by his father, Kadyrov's son disappeared again, as if he had never existed. In Chechnya, they are still wondering what it was and who it was in that very video. A double, an AI, or perhaps the real Adam Kadyrov, who has lost weight and changed beyond recognition after a serious accident involving him and the surgeries he underwent at the Botkin Hospital," commented vance.

Main A Facebook discussion* under the "Caucasian Knot" article on the topic also revolved around the authenticity of the video and the appearance of the person featured in the post. According to social media users, changes in appearance—weight loss, different facial features, and "unusual" facial expressions—have raised numerous doubts.

Readers are paying attention to details: facial shape, number of awards, hand movements, and even the editing of the footage. The comments are actively discussing theories about a double, a possible staging, and speculation about health. Some viewers perceive the video as a media spectacle, while others see it as a reason to raise serious questions.

According to social media users, the main argument in favor of the "substitution" theory is the changes in appearance. Commentators claim that the person in the video looks different than before, pointing to significant weight loss and other features. Many commentators have noted that the man's figure and build in the video differ from his previous appearances.

"He's lost weight, though," wrote Sergey Kunitsky.

"He's lost a lot of weight," noted Saida Mirzayeva.

Details of the man's appearance in the video—in particular, the absence of his usual awards—also sparked discussion. Readers note that there are fewer of them in the video than expected.

"Where are the other medals?" wrote Nikolaj Meier.

"And there aren't enough medals," noted Nadezhda Filonyuk.

Ramzan Kadyrov's third son began receiving numerous awards and titles in the fall of 2023, shortly after Nikita Zhuravel was beaten in pretrial detention. On December 30, 2025, he received from his father the Akhmat Kadyrov Memorial Medal "For Contribution to Ensuring the Security, Stability, and Prosperity of the Motherland." On August 25, 2025, he was awarded the "Defender of the Chechen Republic" medal during the tactical shooting championship, although he did not participate in the competition. Commenting on the award, Kadyrov Sr. stated that his son received all the awards for specific achievements.

According to Facebook* users, the details of the photo and possible editing have drawn particular attention. Some commenters are discussing the position of his hands and the quality of the footage.

"Where's his hand in the second photo?" - wrote Anna Dodonova.

"We also noticed in this video that the left hand disappears, which means it was edited using AI," believes Neo Nero Nur.

"What's wrong with the left hand?" asked Sana Korn.

There are also diametrically opposed opinions - some commentators see no reason to doubt or consider the situation exaggerated.

"We believe. "I believed it," wrote Anton Aslanov.

"This proves that they are both alive," said Amina Radzhabova.

Note, that after the video published on the Telegram channel of the head of Chechnya, by 14:30 Moscow time there were no new relevant video recordings involving Adam Kadyrov.

Adam Kadyrov's press service posted only another birthday greeting on his Instagram page*, along with a photo clearly taken during the warmer months.

Sources have named the consequences for Adam Kadyrov's health

The son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov had his spleen removed after a car accident and was prescribed a six-month diet excluding fatty meats, spicy, and salty foods, Mediazona reports*.

"Kadyrov's son was also diagnosed with a crack in his jaw as a result of a head injury, which in itself precluded him from eating solid food for some time," the publication states.

Sources also named damage to the optic nerve as another consequence of the accident, which could threaten vision loss in one eye.

As a reminder, residents of the republic reported that federal media outlets are showing interest in information about the accident involving 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov and his health, while ordinary people in Chechnya are indifferent to these topics. They admitted that they are more concerned about power outages, low wages, and daily household problems.

Ramzan Kadyrov would like to see his third son, Adam, as his successor, but in reality, neither Adam nor the other sons of the head of Chechnya have guarantees from the Kremlin that would allow them to claim power in the republic, analysts previously interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" indicated. "The federal center didn't give Ramzan any guarantees that power would fall to Adam. Therefore, a specific post, whether it's Security Council Secretary, which Adam Kadyrov holds, or Deputy Prime Minister, which Akhmat Kadyrov holds, doesn't offer any advantages to either potential successor. In any case, the final say will be Putin's," political scientist Sergei Boyko recalled.
