84 drones were destroyed in five regions of southern Russia.

Last night, the military shot down drones in the Volgograd, Rostov, and Astrakhan regions, Kalmykia, and North Ossetia. There were no injuries, but houses and buildings were damaged, authorities reported.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last night a drone attacked "energy and civilian infrastructure" facilities in the Volgograd region, the governor stated. In Volzhsky, damage was recorded to the roof of a house on Karbysheva Street, and a drone crashed on the grounds of the Yagodka kindergarten. In addition, a fire broke out on the territory of a plant in the south of Volgograd.

Alerts about the threat of drone attacks in the Volgograd region have become daily, but the actual appearance of UAVs is not always preceded by a warning, local residents interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" earlier stated.

Last night, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 108 Ukrainian drones, most of them in the Volgograd (49 drones) and Rostov (29 drones) regions, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

In addition, three drones were shot down in the Astrakhan region, two in Kalmykia and one in North Ossetia. Seven more drones were shot down over the Black Sea, and one over the Sea of ​​Azov.

The remaining drones were destroyed in the Saratov, Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, and Tula regions, in Tatarstan, and Crimea, the publication notes.

Filming drone attacks and their aftermath is prohibited in the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.

In the Rostov Region, drone attacks were repelled in Volgodonsk, Donetsk, and Kamensk-Shakhtinsky. Nine districts were also attacked: Millerovsky, Verkhnedonskoy, Tarasovsky, Kasharsky, Kamensky, Belokalitvinsky, Sholokhovsky, Chertkovsky, and Morozovsky, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel.

In North Ossetia, a drone was shot down at 4:23 a.m. Moscow time near the administrative border of the Mozdok district and Stavropol Krai, the head of the republic, Sergey Menyailo, reported on his Telegram channel.

"Near the village of Pavlodolskaya, air defense forces shot down a drone. There were no casualties or damage. The crash site has been cordoned off by law enforcement officers. Investigative measures are underway," he wrote at 8:18 a.m. Moscow time.

Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin and Kalmykia Governor Batu Khasikov, as of 9:10 AM Moscow time, had not reported on the airstrike or its consequences in their Telegram channels.

As a reminder, on December 15, 2025, 38 drones were shot down in the Astrakhan Region. They attacked "industrial and energy facilities," Igor Babushkin reported in his Telegram channel that day. He called it "one of the most massive attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Astrakhan region."

The previous air attack in North Ossetia occurred on the night of January 18. Six drones were shot down in the region. In Beslan, according to authorities, drone debris fell on the roof of a five-story residential building. As a result, two adults and two children were injured and hospitalized.

Authorities estimated the damage from the drone debris falling on the five-story building in Beslan at 10 million rubles.
