Kadyrov showed a video of his son Adam for the first time since January 16.
Ramzan Kadyrov posted a short video of a "late dinner," showing his third son, Adam, for the first time in over three weeks. He was allegedly involved in a traffic accident in mid-January.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," Ramzan Kadyrov mentioned for the first time the traffic accident involving his third son, Adam, calling all media reports about the incident "fakes."
On January 16, sources reported that the motorcade of Ramzan Kadyrov's third son was involved in a traffic accident in Grozny, injuring Adam Kadyrov and his entourage. For three weeks after the accident reports, Adam Kadyrov remained relatively active on social media, but he did not publish any new images of himself. The "Caucasian Knot" has prepared a report entitled "What is known about the classified incident involving Adam Kadyrov in Grozny".
Chechnya's leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, continued to deny reports of a traffic accident involving his third son, Adam, today. He posted a short video with his son on his Telegram channel.
"Late dinner with (...) Chechen leader aide Vismurat Aliyev and Chechen Security Council Secretary Adam Kadyrov, who 'resurrected' despite the latest rumors," Kadyrov captioned the post.
The 43-second video was allegedly filmed by Kadyrov himself, but he does not appear in the shot. He filmed him sitting at a table across from Aliyev and speaking to him in Chechen. Then a knock is heard at the door, and Kadyrov allows the newcomer to enter, turning the camera toward the door. Both greet Adam Kadyrov as he enters—he is wearing a gray camouflage uniform with two medals and a black beret.
In the video, Ramzan Kadyrov also ironically utters the word "resurrected" when greeting his son. He then states the date—February 10—and Vismurat Aliyev, glancing at his mobile phone screen, states the time—7:55 PM. Adam Kadyrov also posted the same short video on his Instagram story*.
In the video, which was intended to show Adam Kadyrov alive and well, the third son of the Chechen leader is in the frame for less than 20 seconds: the cameraman spends most of the time filming Vismurat Aliyev, and only briefly focuses on Adam Kadyrov a few times. During one of these moments, when Adam Kadyrov is already seated at the table, the camera is aimed at his chest, shoulder, and right arm, while his face is barely visible.
Even if the video was indeed filmed this evening, as those involved claim, Adam Kadyrov has not appeared in public or released any new images of himself for three and a half weeks, since January 15.
Adam Kadyrov even before turning 18, he received the positions of curator of the Russian University of Special Forces, assistant to the head of Chechnya, curator of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs, secretary of the Chechen Security Council, and curator of aid to Palestine. On September 19, 2025, his father also instructed him to oversee the payment of property taxes by municipal organizations. On January 9, Adam Kadyrov promised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that he would deliver him to Grozny for trial if he received the corresponding order from his father or Putin.
Ramzan Kadyrov's third son began receiving numerous awards and titles in the fall of 2023, shortly after Nikita Zhuravel was beaten in a pretrial detention center. On December 30, 2025, he received from his father the Akhmat Kadyrov Memorial Medal "For Contribution to Ensuring the Security, Stability, and Prosperity of the Homeland." On August 25, 2025, he was presented with the "Defender of the Chechen Republic" medal during the tactical shooting championship, although he did not participate in the competition. Commenting on the award, Kadyrov Sr. stated that his son received all the awards for specific achievements.
Ramzan Kadyrov would like to see his third son, Adam, as his successor, but in reality, neither Adam nor the other sons of the Chechen leader have received Kremlin guarantees allowing them to claim power in the republic, analysts previously interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" indicated. "The federal center did not give Ramzan any guarantees that power would fall to Adam. Therefore, a specific post, whether it be Security Council Secretary, held by Adam Kadyrov, or Deputy Prime Minister, held by Akhmat Kadyrov, does not offer any advantages to any of the potential heirs. In any case, the final say will be Putin's," political scientist Sergei Boyko recalled.
