A Ukrainian citizen was convicted in Rostov-on-Don for participating in a terrorist organization.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Ukrainian citizen Bohdan Musikhin to 18 years in prison for participating in combat operations against Russian troops as part of a volunteer battalion.

The Southern District Military Court sentenced the Ukrainian serviceman, finding him guilty of participating in a terrorist organization and undergoing training to carry out terrorist activities.

According to the investigation, Bohdan Musikhin joined the Noman Chelebidzhikhan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion (organization) in August 2024 while in Nikolaev. (Recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia). He underwent training for about a month at a training center in the Odessa region. At the end of August of that year, Musikhin took the oath of office and was promoted to rifleman, after which he briefly participated in combat operations, but was captured on October 18, Kommersant reported on December 7.

The court sentenced Musikhin to 17 years in a maximum-security penal colony, with the first three years to be served in prison.

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" reported that at the end of January, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don verified nine residents of Kherson, finding them guilty of an assassination attempt on local officials. The convicted were sentenced to 14 to 20 years in prison.
