A children's center in Paraul has been sealed after children were poisoned.
The Chudo Center, where children were poisoned by carbon monoxide, has been sealed by order of the Dagestan Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing. Materials regarding the suspension of its operations have been submitted to the court.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," all children hospitalized after carbon monoxide poisoning at a kindergarten in the village of Paraul, Karabudakhkent District, Dagestan, have been discharged. On February 2, 10 children from a private kindergarten in the village of Paraul, Karabudakhkent District, were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning. Three of the 10 children were later discharged from the hospital. The cause of the poisoning was determined to be a heating appliance improperly connected to a gas pipeline.
The "Chudo" Children's Center in the village of Paraul has been closed by order of Rospotrebnadzor following the mass poisoning of ten children aged two to six. The cause was dangerously high levels of ethylbenzene in the indoor air, caused by the installation of a gas boiler. An inspection also revealed serious violations of sanitary standards and food service regulations, according to the Dagestan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
The center's premises have been sealed. The inspection materials have been submitted to the court for a decision on suspending operations and holding those responsible accountable, the Rospotrebnadzor office for Dagestan reported on its Telegram channel.
