Ingush security forces are searching for those involved in a drifting incident involving automatic weapons fire.

Police in Ingushetia are searching for local residents in expensive foreign cars who drifted and fired automatic weapons near a gas station.

A video has circulated on social media showing several luxury cars drifting on the road during the day, while other car owners fire into the air, including automatic weapons.

The footage shows more than 20 cars drifting on the road near a gas station. The video of the incident was posted on the "ChP-Kavkaz" Telegram channel and has garnered 3,700 views as of 11:30 AM Moscow time on September 29.

The Telegram channel notes that the action presumably took place in the Nazran district of the republic. “The ride took place near a gas station near the village of Yandare. While several foreign cars were drifting, several people fired into the air,” the message reads.

Ingush police have already announced that they are investigating the shooting into the air and the traffic violation. However, law enforcement officials believe the shooting was carried out with a "blank-fired automatic weapon."

"We have uncovered a video showing unknown individuals aimlessly firing into the air, presumably from a blank-fired automatic weapon, and also demonstrating risky maneuvers in vehicles, posing a threat to the safety of other road users," the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs reported today on its Telegram channel.

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" reported that in February 2024, police reported the arrest of 10 members of a wedding procession for a shooting in central Cherkessk. The court subsequently found the detainees guilty of disobeying police officers and arrested them for terms ranging from five to 13 days. In January of the same year, a seven-year-old girl was injured in a shooting at a wedding in the Ust-Dzhegutinsky district of Karachay-Cherkessia. A Rostov-on-Don resident detained after the incident pleaded guilty.
