The names of four killed soldiers from Dagestan have been released.
Shakhban Idrisov, Gairbeg Abakarov, and two other soldiers from the Gergebil district were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, officials have released data on at least 1,581 fighters from Dagestan killed.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by September 25, government and security officials had publicly named at least 1,577 fighters from Dagestan killed on the Ukrainian front.
Akhtyn district head Abdul-Kerim Palchayev named one of the soldiers killed in Ukraine. Shahban Idrisov was a resident of the village of Akhty, according to a post on the official's official Telegram channel.
Three more killed soldiers were natives of the Gergebil district. The local administration reported the presentation of posthumous awards to their families. The Order of Courage was posthumously awarded to Gairbeg Abakarov from the village of Gergebil, Magomed Aliyev from the village of Mogokh, and his namesake, Magomed Aliyev from the village of Maali, according to the municipality's statement.
Thus, at least 1,581 soldiers from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the war zone in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "NVO Statistics: Losses Are Growing in Southern Russia".
