Tourist missing in Kabardino-Balkaria found dead

Rescuers handed over to investigators the body of a tourist from Belarus who went to the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria and lost contact.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on September 6, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a search had begun for a 26-year-old tourist from Belarus who came to the Elbrus region and lost contact. The man's father contacted the rescuers a few days later.

Today, the tourist was found dead, the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Kabardino-Balkaria reported on its Telegram channel. "In the area of the Terskol waterfall (2,800 meters high), the body of a tourist from the Republic of Belarus was found and evacuated and handed over to the investigative and operational group of law enforcement agencies," the publication says.

On the evening of September 6, the search was suspended and resumed in the morning. "The unregistered tourist from the Republic of Belarus has not been in touch since September 3, 2025. 19 rescuers were involved in the work," the department reported.
