Drone attacks recorded in three regions of the Southern Federal District
On the night of September 4, air defense forces shot down 34 drones over the Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory. The authorities have not reported any casualties.
As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, last night Rosaviatsiya imposed restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft at the airports of Volgograd and Sochi, citing a threat to flight safety. Later, the Sochi airport resumed operations.
Between 0 and 6 Moscow time, 24 drones were shot down over the Rostov region, six over the Volgograd region, and four more in the skies over the Krasnodar region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on its Telegram channel.
The drone raids took place in three cities and five districts in the Rostov region, said the acting head of the region, Yuri Slyusar.
“UAVs (were intercepted) in Novoshakhtinsk, Kamensk, Semikarakorsk, Millerovsky, Tarasovsky, Krasnosulinsky, Dubovsky and Sholokhovsky districts. According to operational data, no one was hurt. "Dry grass caught fire in several places in Tarasovsky, Millerovsky and in the Dubovsky district," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.
Restrictions lifted at Volgograd airport
Restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been lifted at Volgograd airport, the press service of Rosaviatsia reported. "The restrictions were introduced to ensure flight safety," Rosaviatsia representative Artem Korenyako said on his Telegram channel. During the restrictions, one aircraft was sent to an alternate airfield, Korenyako clarified.
According to the airport's online board as of 8.30 Moscow time, six flights to Moscow have been cancelled for departure and arrival.
