The authorities announced that they repelled a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles in the Volgograd region.
As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, after 4:00 Moscow time, temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were introduced at the Volgograd airport for security purposes.
"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation are repelling a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Volgograd region," said the region's governor Andrei Bocharov. - According to preliminary information, there is no damage or casualties."
In Srednyaya Akhtuba, a drone fell onto the road on Smirnov Street. Sappers are currently working there, the regional administration’s Telegram channel reported at 6:39 a.m. Moscow time.
At the same time, in some places in the southern regions of the region, local fires of dry vegetation broke out after the UAV debris fell. All of them were quickly extinguished.
Earlier, it was also reported that air defense forces intercepted unmanned aerial vehicles in the Chertkovsky and Millerovsky districts of the Rostov region at night.
