The man who opened fire near a shopping center in Makhachkala has been taken to the police, Gayana Gariyeva, head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dagestan, reported on her Telegram channel on August 29.
According to Gariyeva, a 35-year-old resident of the Magaramkent district was taken to the Leninsky OVD; he is charged with Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism). The Interior Ministry representative also clarified that the woman, whose gaze was the reason for the shooting, was wearing a hijab, not a niqab.
