Nine drones shot down overnight over the Black Sea

Air defense forces intercepted 54 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian regions overnight.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, the military repulsed an air attack in the north of Rostov Oblast at night, intercepting a UAV in the Chertkovsky district. The grass caught fire due to falling debris.

According to the Defense Ministry, from midnight to 6:00 Moscow time, air defense systems on duty neutralized 54 drones, including nine over the Black Sea. Drones were also shot down in Crimea, Bryansk, Tver, Oryol, Ryazan, Tula, Kursk, Kaluga and Novgorod regions, the department's Telegram channel reported.

At the same time, on the evening of August 28 from 9 p.m. Moscow time to midnight, another 19 UAVs were intercepted over Russian regions, four of which were shot down in the Rostov region.

Recall that on the night of August 27, 16 people were evacuated from a residential building in the center of Rostov-on-Don, where a fire broke out after a drone fell. A total of seven houses were damaged, and a temporary accommodation center was set up for residents.
