About 80 vehicles damaged by UAV attacks in Rostov region
The Rostov Region authorities are considering the issue of assessing the damage to cars damaged in drone attacks and compensating for the damage; a total of about 80 cars were damaged.
As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, on the night of August 27, 16 people were evacuated from a residential building in the center of Rostov-on-Don, where a fire broke out after a drone crashed. A total of seven houses were damaged; a temporary accommodation center has been set up for residents.
The number of cars damaged as a result of drone attacks on the Rostov region has approached 80, the issue of compensation is being worked out, said Acting Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar.
"We do not have regulations to compensate for the cost of damaged cars. And we did not touch on this topic until it was isolated. Now, unfortunately, the number of damaged cars is approaching 80. My colleagues and I are currently working on the fact that, using the experience of other regions, we will compensate for the cost of damage, or losses (...) One of the most difficult issues is the issue of assessing the damage and recognizing this assessment by the victims," Interfax quoted him as saying.
The issue of compensation is planned to be worked out by the end of the year, while residents of the region whose cars have already been damaged due to drone attacks will not be left without support.
Slyusar also reported that the period for paying compensation for housing damaged by drone attacks has been reduced to 11 days.
