Restrictions on Volgograd airport operations lifted

Volgograd airport resumed full operation after temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, restrictions on the operation of Volgograd airport for flight safety were introduced before midnight on August 23. By 23:59 Moscow time, the departure of seven flights and the arrival of three were delayed, and the flight from Moscow was canceled.

Volgograd airport did not operate throughout the entire past night. Rosaviatsiya representative Artem Korenyako reported on the lifting of restrictions on the acceptance and release of aircraft on his Telegram channel only today at 5.58 Moscow time.

"The restrictions were introduced to ensure flight safety," he emphasized.

According to Rosaviatsiya, during the period of restrictions at the Volgograd airport, three aircraft were sent to an alternate airfield.

Recall that on the night of August 23, as a result of the fall of a drone, a multi-story building in the city of Petrov Val in the Volgograd region was damaged, three people were injured, including a child. Also, the drone debris fell in the area of the Kraptsovsky farm in the Kumylzhensky district, where dry vegetation caught fire.
