Singer Eduard Sharlot, who apologized to the head of Chechnya, challenged his transfer from a penal colony to a general regime colony. Bailiffs began confiscating his property.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, in January 2024, musician Eduard Sharlot, accused of rehabilitating Nazism and insulting the feelings of believers, apologized in court to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov for "instantly insulting" him, and to Vladimir Putin, whose portrait he tore up. In December, the court sentenced Sharlot to five and a half years in a penal colony on charges of rehabilitating Nazism and insulting believers. In his final statement, the musician apologized again for his videos. The defense and prosecution appealed the verdict, and the appellate court upheld the verdict. On August 18, it became known that Sharlot will be transferred from a penal colony to a general regime penal colony.

Eduard Sharlot filed an appeal against the decision of the Central District Court of Togliatti to transfer him from a penal colony to a general regime penal colony, Kommersant wrote on August 23.

The musician's father, Valery Sharlot, announced the decision to file an appeal.

The bailiffs received materials from the Samara Regional Court, on the basis of which enforcement proceedings were opened to confiscate property, TASS reports.

Recall that the reason for initiating the cases were Sharlot's social networks, in which he published provocative videos. In the summer of 2023, Charlotte moved to Armenia and expressed his disagreement with the actions of the Russian government, but he quickly ran out of money there. In November of the same year, the musician decided to return to Russia and was detained at the airport.
