Nine Dagestani fighters killed in Ukraine

The Makhachkala administration has named nine servicemen killed in combat. Since the start of the Russian operation in Ukraine, officials have officially named at least 1,514 killed soldiers from Dagestan.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, by August 14, the authorities and security forces had recognized at least 1,505 fighters from Dagestan as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Acting head of Makhachkala Dzhambulat Salavov today presented posthumous awards to the relatives of the soldiers killed in Ukraine. Among them were Suleiman Gadzhiev, Amin Bobiyev, Shamil Gaziyev, Khadzhimurad Omarov, Murad Abdurazakov, Gerei Medzhidov, Artem Abdullayev, Gelani Karchigayev and Salaudin Kurbanov.

All of the listed Makhachkala residents were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, according to a message on the official Telegram channel of the mayor's office.

Thus, officials publicly named at least 1,514 soldiers from Dagestan killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially announced by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Statistics of the North-West Military District: Losses Are Growing for the South of Russia".
