Dagestani soldier killed in Ukraine

Ramin Gashimov from the Khivsky District was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, the authorities have officially recognized at least 1,495 servicemen from Dagestan as killed there.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, by August 9, officials had publicly named at least 1,494 fighters from Dagestan killed in Ukraine.

Ramin Gashimov, killed in the combat zone in Ukraine, was buried today in the village of Lyakhlya, the Khivsky District administration reported.

Gashimov was 29 years old. A native of the village of Lyakhlya, he served under contract in the tank corps as a medic. He was in the war zone in Ukraine "from the very first days", and was wounded and concussed in 2022, according to a message on the municipality's official Telegram channel.

Thus, officials publicly acknowledged that at least 1,495 servicemen from Dagestan were killed on the Ukrainian front.
