A criminal case has been opened in Krasny Sulin regarding the damage to the graves of participants in the special military operation.

According to the investigation, unknown persons damaged grave crosses with memorial plaques on the graves of servicemen who died during the SVO, 1rnd.ru wrote on August 10.

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Rostov Region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 243.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (damage to military graves perpetuating the memory of those killed in defense of the Fatherland and its interests), a search for vandals is underway, Panorama reports.

Earlier, "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote that in November 2024, 53 graves were damaged at a cemetery in the village of Arkhangelskaya in Kuban, and a 35-year-old local resident was arrested in this case.
