Five villages in North Ossetia and part of Beslan left without electricity
Part of Beslan and five villages in the Pravoberezhny district were left without electricity and water after strong gusts of wind. The wind also tore off the roof of a school that was renovated four years ago.
In the Pravoberezhny district, a strong wind blew off part of the roof of school No. 6 in Beslan, the head of the district Kazbek Mrikayev reported. "After the inspection, specialists will assess the damage and workers will begin repairs," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
"Due to fallen supports and broken power lines in the BMK area in Beslan, as well as in the villages of Zilgi, Novy Batako, Khumalag, Zamankul and Olginskoye, there is no light or water. All services are working and doing everything possible to restore life support systems as quickly as possible. Utility services have also begun clearing the streets," the head of the district informed.
The public procurement website contains information about a tender for the overhaul of school No. 6 Beslan, the repair was completed in 2021 and cost 32.3 million rubles.
North Ossetia Deputy Prime Minister Georgy Atarov gave the order to complete the school renovation work before the start of the school year, the Alania TV company reports.
