Fires broke out in Rostov region after drone attacks

A substation in the Millerovsky district and a canopy of a private house in the Tatsinsky district caught fire after the military destroyed drones. The fire was extinguished, no one was hurt. The Ministry of Defense reported seven UAVs shot down over the Rostov region.

The military repelled a massive air attack in the Rostov region, destroying UAVs in Belaya Kalitva, Tatsinsky, Chertkovsky and Millerovsky districts, Acting Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar reported today.

"A substation caught fire in the village of Verkhnetalovka in the Millerovsky district. The fire covering an area of 500 square meters has been extinguished. In the village of Tatsinskaya, a canopy in the yard of a private house caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. No one was hurt," Slyusar wrote on his Telegram channel.

Air defense forces shot down 24 Ukrainian UAVs over the Bryansk, Rostov, Kaluga and Smolensk regions overnight, including seven drones shot down in the Rostov region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported today.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, Taganrog, Novoshakhtinsk, as well as Myasnikovsky, Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky, Neklinovsky and Tarasovsky districts of the Rostov region were attacked by drones on the night of August 1. The attack damaged the homes of Novoshakhtinsk residents and villagers in the Neklinovsky district. The authorities promised to help the victims restore their property. According to the military, 12 drones were shot down in the region.

On the night of August 2, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Belaya Kalitva and five districts of the Rostov region were attacked by drones. In Krasnosulinsky district, an attack caused a fire at an enterprise, a security guard was killed.
