Drone attack in Volgograd region leads to cancellation and delay of train routes

Four commuter trains have been cancelled, three long-distance passenger trains have been delayed due to the fall of drone debris at the Archeda station in the Volgograd region.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, last night the air defense forces repelled a massive attack by drones on transport and energy facilities in the Volgograd region.

In total, on the night of August 4, the air defense forces shot down 10 drones in the regions of the Southern Federal District, the Defense Ministry announced.

Three trains of the Federal Passenger Company are delayed due to the consequences of the UAV attack at the Archeda station in the Volgograd region, passengers on trains that are more than four hours late will be provided with meals, the company reports.

"Due to the fall of UAV debris at the Archeda station, the services of four suburban trains Archeda - Aleksikovo; Aleksikovo - Archeda; Aleksikovo - Uryupino; Uryupino - Aleksikovo have been cancelled," the Privolzhskaya Railway said in a message on its Telegram channel.

In addition, passenger trains Moscow - Volgograd, Volgograd - St. Petersburg, Adler - Kirov are currently delayed. The maximum delay time is about 4 hours.

We also recall that on July 31, three trains were delayed after a UAV attack in the Volgograd region. The waiting time reached six hours.
