Officer from Uryupinsk killed in combat
Senior Lieutenant Vladimir Gorbachev was killed in a military operation in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 1,275 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in it.
As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, by August 1, at least 1,274 fighters from the Volgograd region were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.
The 33-year-old commander of the assault platoon, Senior Lieutenant Vladimir Gorbachev, was killed in the military operation, the Uryupinsk administration reported today on its Telegram channel.
"Vladimir was born in Volgograd, lived in Uryupinsk. He graduated from secondary school No. 5. He was a military man by profession, graduated from the Military Technical University. In 2023, he signed a contract and went [to participate in hostilities]. Vladimir died in the Dnepropetrovsk region, Sinelnikovsky district, the village of Maryinka while carrying out a combat mission," the publication says.
Thus, at least 1,275 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
