Police attacked in Karachay-Cherkessia
Two gunmen suspected of killing a number of police officers in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic opened fire on policemen while those were trying to detain them in Karachayevsk last night, a source with the city division of internal affairs said.
Two police officers were wounded, while the gangsters managed to escape. Policemen identified one of them though, the source added.
