Three Navalny's supporters detained in Astrakhan

Policemen have detained three employees of the Astrakhan Navalny's office, who were disseminating leaflets in the city centre.

Earlier, supporters had applied to the administration of Astrakhan on holding an information picket in the city centre; however, the authorities offered to hold the event in the Hyde Park, Alexander Kogut, the head of the Astrakhan Navalny's office, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"We couldn't agree to the offer, as the Hyde Park is located in a place, where the goal of our event will not be achieved, namely, informing people about boycotting the election," Mr Kogut has explained.

According to his story, today, three employees of the office decided to disseminate information leaflets during a walk around the city. In the Bratsk Garden, located in the city centre, young people were detained. At this time they are in the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division) of Astrakhan, they are charged with Article 5.10 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (electoral campaigning in prohibited places).
