Mayoralty of Makhachkala states 280 cases of illegal construction
During the first 11 months of 2016, the Mayoralty of Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, received 280 materials on illegally erected buildings. On 120 lawsuits on demolition of illegally built structures, courts ruled in favour of the Mayoralty.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that seismologists expressed their concern about the chaotic build-up of Makhachkala. The violations admitted at construction of high-rise buildings may lead to destruction of them in case of a strong earthquake, residents of the city believe.
The republic has fixed facts of construction without the due expertise and permits, said Murad Omarov, the head of the State Construction Supervision (Gosstroynadzor) of the Ministry of Construction of Dagestan.
According to his story, by the start of 2015, the Gosstroynadzor was aware about some 200 objects, including commercial ones, built without due permits.
Prior to building some object, one needs to collect a package of documents, which should be submitted to the municipal administration, which issues a building permit, said Ruslan Aliev, the head of one of the companies involved in building apartment buildings in Makhachkala.
Murad Omarov has confirmed the fact that the seismic safety of buildings is laid at the stage of designing.
On December 12, in Makhachkala, a developer was fined by 300,000 roubles for illegal construction, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan has reported.
