Oppositionists state need of complete replacement of Ingush CCE staff

The Centre to Counter Extremism (CCE) of Ingushetia has become a punitive body, Magomed Khazbiev, a member of the public movement "Mekhk-Kkhel", believes. It is necessary to completely change the CCE staff, said Akhmed Bashir Aushev, one of the former leaders of the movement, whose son suffered from the actions of Ingush power agents. Any disclosure of information about the torture of residents of the republic and cruel treatment of them by law enforcers always ended in summon to the CCE, said Magomed Mutsolgov, a rights defender.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 7, it became known about detention of Timur Khamkhoev, the head of the CCE of the Russia's MIA for Ingushetia. According to law enforcement sources, his detention has to do with the death of the detainee Magomed Daliev. Users of social networks demand to check Khamkhoev for involvement in torture.

The CCE was a kind of punitive body in relation to oppositionists and rights defenders, said Magomed Khazbiev. According to his version, Timur Khamkhoev was involved in all that.

"On February 1, 2015, when I was in Chechnya, I was shot from a passing car," Khazbiev has recollected.

Also, according to his story, the CCE staff was involved in the death of Sultan-Girei Khashagulgov, the ex-Deputy Minister of Construction of Ingushetia and a member of the public movement "Mekhk-Kkhel", who was in opposition to the authorities.
