Russian and Georgian businessmen state readiness for joint projects
On November 14-15, at meetings in Tbilisi, Russian and Georgian businessmen discussed the option of restoring business relations. Both parties have emphasized mutual benefits of cooperation.
The meetings were held under the auspices of the Russia's and Georgia's Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIs).
They were attended by officials from ten Russian enterprises engaged in the construction, energy, tourism, advertising and consulting sectors, as well as representatives of Russian universities.
Akaki Adamiya, the spokesman of the Georgian National Investment Agency, told Russian businessmen about the investment climate and projects in Georgia.
Russian businessmen visited Mtskheta and Borjomi; and in Kakheti they visited the factory "Kakheti Traditional Winemaking".
Cooperation of Russian and Georgian businessmen is beneficial for both parties, Fyodor Degtyaryov, a member of the Russian CCI, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, has stressed that the dialogue on economic cooperation is separated from those issues, which link Georgia with Russia in the context of conflict settlement.
