General Prosecutor's Office blocks page on "VKontakte" opened by workers of "Sedin" plant
Workers of the Krasnodar "Sedin" plant have reported that their group in the social network "VKontakte" has been blocked after they announced holding protests.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in May, the court recognized the "Sedin" plant as a bankrupt. The Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory launched bankruptcy proceedings at the machine-tool plant. The "Neftemash" plant has announced its intention to invest in the "Sedin" plant.
In 2015, workers of the plant held protest actions with the demand to pay off wage arrears. Igor Sobolev, the general director of the plant, promised the workers to cover the debt before the end of the year.
"Our old group in the social network has published new posts, in which the workers of the machine-tool plant caught the 'Edinaya Rossiya' (United Russia) Party in the pre-election deception and announced the upcoming people's gathering. After that, the group in the social network was blocked by the Russian General Prosecutor's Office without any explanations," explained managers of the group on their new page on the social network.
The protesters demand to pay off the wage arrears and save jobs at the plant, the "Kuban 24" reports.
