In Sochi, director of driving school files a lawsuit against policemen

In Sochi, policemen unfoundedly seized a hard drive from the office of the first driving school registered in the city and thus paralyzed its activities for two months. This was stated by Khachik Takmazyan, the director of the driving school. He asked the court to bring the policemen to responsibility.

According to Khachik Takmazyan, in July 2015, the policemen "unlawfully seized the property of the driving school." They explained their action by the fact that counterfeit software was allegedly loaded on the hard drive. As of November 2016, the hard drive is not yet been returned.

"The hard disc was seized without institution of a criminal case," says Khachik Takmazyan.

According to him, the hard disc contained the information about employees of the driving school, their accrued salaries and other data necessary for the activities of the driving school.

Alexander Boichenko, the chair of the Sochi branch of the Moscow Bar Association, has explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that "the actions of the policemen may be qualified as abuse of power."
