25 families receive keys to cottages in NKR's Ariavan District

As reported by the Ministry of Urban Development of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), by the end of the year, some 50 families will live in new cottages, built in a new residential neighbourhood named Ariavan and located in the Kashatag District of the NKR.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the construction of the above district on the border of Armenia and the NKR, on the banks of the Akhavno River, was launched in 2013. The idea of the project belongs to entrepreneurs of the Armenian Diaspora, who united into the "ARI" Company and financed the construction together with the NKR's government.

The first residents of the neighbourhood received their keys at a solemn ceremony. The cottages are built according to European standards and are surrounded by land plots having the area of 1000 square meters each.

According to Unan Tadevosyan, the press secretary of the above Ministry, a total of 150 cottages will ne built. He added that because of the armed hostilities that broke out this April, they had to postpone the construction works.

Robert Matevosyan, an employee of the Kashatag district administration, said that cottages are provided first of all to the residents of the Akhavno community, whose houses were demolished in order to liberate area for the new neighbourhood, as well as to socially vulnerable and young families.
