In Dagestan, Oleg Melnikov becomes a "people's deputy to State Duma"
Almost 66,000 residents of Dagestan took part in the questioning about their attitudes toward candidates to the State Duma. Oleg Melnikov, the leader of the movement against slavery "Alternative", gained 42.23% of votes. Among the political parties, residents of the republic have preferred the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the voting at the elections to the State Duma are scheduled for September 18.
The questioning, carried out from July 26 to September 12 by the agency "Mediafact" and the newspaper "Chernovik" (Draft), involved 65,909 residents of Dagestan who agreed to voice their attitude towards candidates in single-seat districts, as well as towards republican branches of the parties that nominated lists of their candidates. This has been told today to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a representative of the "Mediafact".
According to him, as a result of the questioning, Oleg Melnikov, the leader of the movement against slavery "Alternative", who gained 42.23% of votes, was recognized as a "people's deputy to the State Duma." The second place went to Djamal Kasumov (24.39%), and the third place to Zelimkhan Valiev (10.10%).
Following the outcome of the questioning, the CPRF, which gained 27.95% of the votes, became a "people's party" in Dagestan. The second place went to the "Yabloko" Party with 20.31% of the votes, and the third place to the "Russian Party of Pensioners for Justice" with 11.11%.
