Muftiate of Dagestan: Magomedrasul Saaduev abandons politics

Magomedrasul Saaduev, Deputy Mufti of Dagestan, has decided to abandon the political activity in the "People against Corruption" Party. This was reported by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in April, it became known about the plans of Magomedrasul Saaduev to run for a seat at the National Assembly of Dagestan from the "People against Corruption" Party. On May 7, participants of the project "Games of Journalists" claimed that the distrust in the authorities resulted in the fact that religious figures were nominated for the elections and they used the "People against Corruption" Party as a springboard.

The list of the members of the "People against Corruption" Party in Dagestan suggests that it is supported by religious figures. This opinion was expressed by journalists interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

"There is nothing surprising in the fact that Magomedrasul Saaduev, who went the way under the banner of the Party, decided to go back under the flag of Muslims, under which he served during his entire adult life," reports the press service of the SAM of Dagestan as quoted by the "Novoe Delo".

On June 11, the "People against Corruption" Party reported on its Facebook page, that Magomedrasul Saaduev completed the collection of documents for registration at the election commission.
